Liege is in the French-speaking part of Belgium. We stopped here on our way home from Maastricht. HEre is a playground in a town square. The letters spell "Livre" which is french for book. It was really a big kids' playground so we had to keep a close eye on Eliot. One older boy guided Eliot along some balance beams with me close by to keep Eliot from falling on the cobblestones.

Here is the river that runs through Liege. The barge in the photo went directly under the bridge we were standing on and Eliot waved to the pilot who waved back. Eliot really enjoyed seeing the barge and asked for "more" when it had passed.

At a square in Liege.
