National Botanic Gardens

Last Sunday we went to the National Botanic Gardens which are on the grounds of a chateau that used to belong to the King's sister until the government bought it (c. 1930). Here is the chateau. The gardens are more green space than planned gardens but they are pleasant for strolling. We bought a membership to bring guests and so that Eliot and I can ramble here on Mondays or Fridays when I'm not working.

Walled garden. For my mom who volunteers at the Chicago Botanic Garden in the walled garden.
Eliot leaving the walled garden with his walking stick. Want to wait for Mom and Dad?
