Aachen

We went to Aachen next. I knew we'd come back after our trip here a few months ago on our way home from Bavaria because it is a lebkuchen (sp?) heaven. Eliot sacked out in his stroller as soon as we got here, so unfortunately he missed a great lunch at a cozy restaurant complete with apple strudel. Then we bought a bunch of cookies, of which he partook when he woke up. Here is Chris posing with a fellow lebkuchen fan.

Cafes in Aachen on the beautiful sunny day we were there.

The Aachen cathedral. One of my favorite cathedrals since it is so historic - Charlemagne comissioned it and is buried here.
Stained glass in the cathedral.
