Leiden, Netherlands

Last weekend we had a lovely lunch at Chris's colleague's house. He and his wife have 3 girls, the youngest of which is Eliot's age. He experienced his first big backyard trampoline although he waited until the girls got off and wanted Chris and I to go on with him.

Then we drove up to Leiden while Eliot took his nap. Although Eliot opted out of the nap.... We checked into a nice B&B and then headed into town. We did a walking tour that included the canals....
And a hilltop fortress.

We enjoyed Dutch pancakes at a restaurant where the Dalai Lama ate. Yum!
