This weekend offered nice weather and we were itching to be outside. On Saturday, we did some practical shopping and errand running followed by a pleasant afternoon birthday party at a classmate of Eliot's house. Eliot enjoyed playing with his toys! (And he liked the cake.) On Sunday, we headed out to this mansion and grounds that has been turned into a public space with playgrounds and, for the warmer months, swimming pools, go carts, and mini-golf. Here is the mansion. It now houses a restaurant.
We walked around the manicured grounds that had a little stream. Eliot was very interested in swishing sticks around in the stream and Chris took on the difficult task of balancing on rocks while holding Eliot to prevent a very wet end to our visit.
The playgrounds were great, but this was the best picture I could get because the camera battery ran out....
